A stranger suddenly arrived at Sundarpur village in North Bengal. He got off the cab in front of a restaurant. The name of the restaurant is “Rabindranath never came here to eat”. Strange foods are even more strange than its name. The visitor saw how everyone was enjoying the food with fascination. He understood why he was enjoying such fascination with food. He has never eaten such delicious food in his life.
It is known that the owner and chief chef of this restaurant is a woman. His name is Mushkan Zuberi. Apart from the quality of cooking, she is also endowed with amazing beauty. The powerful people of the village should get up and sit on his words. No one knows where Muskan Zuberi came from and where he grew up in the zamindar’s house of this village. But everyone appreciates her cooking.
But who is this Muskan Juberi? What is the secret of his delicious cooking?
And why such a strange name of the restaurant? The stranger is looking for answers to these questions. It is important for him to know the answers to these questions for the special work he has come for. To help him, he chose Attar Ali, the BBC in Sundarpur. And while searching for answers to these questions, Agantuk and Atar Ali encountered some tragic events. And the people of Sundarpur were not ready at all to know what came out at the end of it all.
After seeing many posts and reviews about the books in this series (I haven’t read the reviews), I put the books on the reading list for a year. Finally I read the 1st book as soon as I got it. Now let’s see what the book I’ve been waiting for so long looks like: the story was good. After reading the book’s prologue, I became attracted to the book because I had guessed one thing. So the curiosity grew to know how accurate my idea was.
There do not seem to be many such books in our country. So the book was good as a thriller in that respect. The author’s writing style is fluent and he finished each chapter in such a hurry that it was able to hold suspense among the readers. But the strange application of some words was very ridiculous. Such as: “Chow Chow” to the hungry stomach, “Hijack lamp”.
I mean, I understand the author has tried to apply the word to his liking but what the hell is the “hijack” lamp? 🙄
And the reason I personally give it a rating of 3 is: I like the story is predictable. What I said I guessed at the beginning was correct. Not only that, what could happen at the climax, even the last twists seemed to be understood in advance. So I wasn’t too surprised to see everything happen or come out …
