Mahatab Uddin is a retired Bengali teacher. Everyone likes him very much. He and his wife Safura Begum live in Alamdanga, a mooseball town, but their only son lives with his family in Dhaka. Mahatab Uddin is completely indifferent to that selfish boy by nature. But the boy has been calling the two of them to Dhaka for quite some time.
The reason is not clear. Both husband and wife became worried. In Alamdanga, a young man with a strange nature has been seen wandering around for some time. He does not talk to anyone. He muttered in his mind all day. Mahatab Uddin looked into the young man’s eyes and wondered why. Meanwhile, the baby girl Malati fell seriously ill. His claim, he saw ghosts. Aquatic ghosts!
After a while, one unusual death after another began to occur. The murderous corpses are being left in a horrible state. All around is becoming stained with blood. And ignoring the heavy rain outside, Mahatab Uddin is falling into a mysterious diary written in an unknown language.
What are these seemingly unrelated events, but tied in a thread? What is the arrival of something terrible in this world? Where the greed for this evil existence towards flesh and blood finally took this story, there may not be answers to all the questions. However, the reader will be surprised to witness a demonic episode.
Lesson Response: Susmoy Sumon’s ‘Aparthib’ had an unquenchable interest in reading the book even before it was published. When I finally started reading the book, I realized that the interest might not die on the field. Didn’t go. The author did not disappoint me. The whole of this horror thriller was covered with a sheet of tension. I was thrilled to read again and again. The style of narration was as simple as his previous books.
Nowhere did he lean towards unnecessarily complicated. But in the end there was a faint hope that I would get an idea of the origin of the diary. That’s all there is to it. If there is ever a sequel or prequel to ‘Supernatural’, I will have my eyes on it.
Problem with one thing. One of the characters in ‘Aparthib’ is named Pradeep. To my knowledge, the spelling is ‘Pradeep’. I don’t understand why the fruit is added here. Although there is nothing wrong with Proper Noun. There were also some minor printing mistakes. These issues may decrease in the future.
I really like the cover made by Selim Hossain. The book seems to fit a lot with the story. So the reader, if you want, can read the horror thriller ‘Supernatural’ written in a mixture of hatred, greed, forbidden love, ingratitude and horrible supernatural demonism.
